Willa Fitzgerald Cast Opposite Kyle Gallner in Horror Film ‘Skeletons’
The cast of Sony Pictures’ upcoming horror film Skeletons continues to grow, with Willa Fitzgerald officially joining Kyle Gallner in the new creature feature from Strange Darling director JT Mollner.
The casting marks a reunion for Fitzgerald, Gallner, and Mollner following their acclaimed collaboration on Strange Darling. According to Deadline, Brie Larson also stars in the film, with Ione Skye and Daithí Ó Haragáin rounding out the latest additions to the ensemble.
Described as a modern take on the creature feature, Skeletons is being directed by Mollner from a screenplay by Brian Duffield, whose previous genre credits include Love and Monsters and No One Will Save You. The script is based on the short story Fail-Safe by Philip Fracassi.
The story follows a young boy who gradually discovers that his loving parents are concealing a terrifying secret—one that revolves around his mother’s true nature.
Hollywood heavyweight J.J. Abrams is producing the film through Bad Robot Productions, alongside Infrared and Assemble Media.
With a talented cast, an acclaimed horror director, and a screenplay from one of the genre’s most sought-after writers, Skeletons is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated creature features currently in development.
