‘Skeletons’ Adds John Goodman to Its Cast of Twisted Creature Horror
John Goodman is joining the growing cast of Skeletons, a new creature feature from JT Mollner, the director behind the acclaimed horror thriller Strange Darling.
According to Deadline, Goodman joins a cast that already includes Willa Fitzgerald, Kyle Gallner, and Brie Larson. The film will also feature Ione Skye and Daithí Ó Haragáin.
Coming from Sony Pictures, Skeletons is being described as a “modern take on the creature horror film.”
The project is being produced by J. J. Abrams, with Mollner directing from a screenplay by Brian Duffield (Love and Monsters, No One Will Save You). The story is based on the short story “Fail-Safe” by author Philip Fracassi.
Skeletons follows a young boy who begins uncovering a horrifying family secret — one that reveals his beloved parents may be hiding the truth about his mother’s terrifying nature.
The creature feature comes from Infrared, Bad Robot Productions, and Assemble Media.
With a strong horror pedigree behind the camera and a cast packed with genre favorites, Skeletons is shaping up to be one of the more intriguing creature features on the horizon.
