Robert Eggers is preparing to unleash another nightmare, and the latest poster for Werwulf looks every bit as haunting as you’d expect.

With roughly five months remaining until the film hits theaters, Focus Features has unveiled a striking new poster for the upcoming horror movie, complete with the ominous tagline: “Devoureth All Mankynde.”

The artwork offers a brief glimpse at the film’s werewolf while embracing a stark black-and-white aesthetic that perfectly fits Eggers’ grim medieval setting.

The filmmaker previously revealed that Werwulf was shot on 35mm film, with an orthochromatic treatment applied in post-production to give the skin tones a sickly, unsettling appearance. Eggers also explained that the production found a way to reproduce the grain structure of black-and-white film across color footage, creating what he describes as a uniquely textured visual style.

Set in 13th-century England, Werwulf follows the appearance of a mysterious creature as local folklore begins to transform into a horrifying reality.

Focus Features describes the movie as “a harrowing tale of devotion, damnation and the devil within,” promising what could be Eggers’ most intense horror experience yet.

The filmmaker has already teased just how bleak things are going to get, calling Werwulf “the darkest thing I’ve ever written. By far.”

That certainly fits the imagery we’ve seen so far.

The cast includes Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Nosferatu), Lily-Rose Depp (Nosferatu), Willem Dafoe (The Lighthouse), Ralph Ineson (The Witch), and Bodhi Rae Breathnach (Hamnet).

Werwulf arrives exclusively in theaters on December 25 from Focus Features.
