Johnny Berchtold, known for his role in “Gaslit,” and Kyle Gallner, recognized for his performance in “Scream,” have been cast as the lead in the upcoming horror film “The Passenger.” This exciting project marks another collaboration between production powerhouse Blumhouse and EPIX.

Directed by Carter Smith, acclaimed for “The Ruins,” the movie delves into the chilling narrative of Randolph Bradley (played by Johnny Berchtold). Bradley, a seemingly unremarkable individual who prefers to blend into the background, is compelled to confront his deepest fears and face his troubled past when his colleague Benson (portrayed by Kyle Gallner) embarks on a violent killing spree. Survival becomes the driving force for Bradley as he navigates the menacing chaos.

Adding to the stellar cast is Liza Weil, known for her work in “The Cleaning Lady” and “How to Get Away with Murder.” Weil takes on the role of Miss Beard, Randall’s first-grade teacher who tragically lost an eye due to a classroom accident. As the story unfolds, she becomes an unexpected guardian, safeguarding Randall from the dangerous mission Benson.

Penned by Jack Stanley, “The Passenger” promises an intense and gripping storyline. The film is executive produced by industry veterans Jason Blum, Chris McCumber, and Jeremy Gold from Blumhouse TV, along with Lauren Downey, who has previously worked on Blumhouse Television’s “Into the Dark” and “Bingo Hell.”
