The Asylum is once again getting in on the horror action with a supernatural mockbuster timed to the release of the official Insidious sequel.

Insidious: Possession arrives on Digital this week, just days ahead of Insidious: Out of the Further. And yes, despite the title, this is not an official entry in the Insidious franchise.

GoreCulture has your exclusive look at the trailer for the latest horror offering from The Asylum below.

Insidious: Possession hits Digital outlets on Friday, August 14, 2026.

The film follows a former straight-A student who suddenly begins behaving violently at school and at home. Desperate for answers, her parents turn to a priest for help—but soon discover their daughter is possessed by the devil.

Now, an inexperienced priest must battle to save the girl’s soul while facing a supernatural threat that could consume the entire town.

Marcel Walz directs from a screenplay by Joshua Pruett. The cast includes Dominic Keating, Llana Barron, Krymis J Fernando, and Bryan Barron.

Meanwhile, the official Insidious franchise returns with Insidious: Out of the Further, which opens exclusively in theaters on August 21, 2026.

Until then, check out the trailer for Insidious: Possession and prepare for another Asylum-style descent into supernatural horror.
