Netflix launches “Stranger Things Day” with an exclusive sneak peek of “Stranger Things: The First Shadow,” an upcoming live stage play set to hit London later this month.

“Stranger Things: The First Shadow” promises a brand-new story brought to life on stage, unfolding in Hawkins, 1959, before the world as we know it turned upside down.

The world premiere of this exciting production will take place on December 14 at the Phoenix Theatre in London’s West End. Previews are scheduled to begin on November 17, offering a captivating behind-the-scenes glimpse into what’s in store for the audience.

The star-studded cast includes Louis McCartney as Henry Creel, Ella Karuna Williams as Patty Newby, and Patrick Vaill as Dr. Brenner. Oscar Lloyd steps into the shoes of Jim Hopper, Jr., while Isabella Pappas embodies Joyce Maldonado (Joyce Byers’ maiden name), and Christopher Buckley takes on the role of Bob Newby.

The ensemble also features Michael Jibson as Victor Creel, Lauren Ward as Virginia Creel, Shane Attwooll as Chief Hopper, Kemi Awoderu as Sue Anderson, and Chase Brown as Lonnie Byers. Ammar Duffus portrays Charles Sinclair, Gilles Geary as Ted Wheeler, and Florence Guy as Karen Childress (Karen Wheeler’s maiden name). Max Harwood plays Allen Munson, Matthew Pidgeon is Father Newby, Calum Ross is Walter Henderson, and Maisie Norma Seaton assumes the role of Claudia Henderson.

Additional talented performers, including Tricia Adele-Turner, Lauren Arney, Reya-Nyomi Brown, Patricia Castro, Lydia Fraser, Isaac Gryn, Mark Hammersley, Tom Peters, Kingdom Sibanda, Tiana Simone, Danny Sykes, and Meesha Turner, are set to captivate the audience.

“Stranger Things: The First Shadow” boasts an original storyline crafted by “Stranger Things” creators, The Duffer Brothers, in collaboration with Jack Thorne and Kate Trefry. The play will be skillfully directed by Stephen Daldry, bringing the thrilling world of “Stranger Things” to the live stage at the Phoenix Theatre in London.

The official plot synopsis reads: “Hawkins, 1959: a regular town with regular worries. Young Jim Hopper’s car won’t start, Bob Newby’s sister won’t take his radio show seriously, and Joyce Maldonado just wants to graduate and leave town. When new student Henry Creel arrives, his family finds that a fresh start isn’t so easy, and the shadows of the past have a very long reach.”

With a multi-award-winning creative team at the helm, “Stranger Things: The First Shadow” promises to take theatrical storytelling and stagecraft to new heights, providing a gripping adventure that delves into the origins of the “Stranger Things” narrative and may hold the key to its ultimate conclusion.
