NEON has unveiled an exciting lineup of horror films for 2024, featuring highly anticipated titles like the Nicolas Cage-led “Longlegs” and Sydney Sweeney’s “Immaculate.”

Adding to the intrigue is “Cuckoo,” starring Hunter Schafer from “Euphoria,” which NEON has confirmed for a 2024 release. The film is set to hit theaters on May 3, 2024.

Joining Schafer in the cast are Dan Stevens (“The Guest”), Jessica Henwick (“Underwater”), Marton Csókás (“Freelance”), Greta Fernández (“Santo”), and Jan Bluthardt (“Luz”).

Directed by Tilman Singer (“Luz”) and produced by NEON, “Cuckoo” remains shrouded in mystery, with plot details tightly guarded. However, an intriguing image hints at a suspenseful narrative with potential stalker-slasher elements.

In “Cuckoo,” Schafer’s character appears to be in hiding, adding to the suspense surrounding the film.

Executive producers Tom Quinn, Jeff Deutchman, Emily Thomas, and Ryan Friscia have brought their expertise to the project, with Markus Halberschmidt, Josh Rosenbaum, Maria Tsigka, Ken Kao, Thor Bradwell, and Ben Rimmer serving as producers. Shot on 35mm in Germany, “Cuckoo” is a collaborative effort between Germany’s Fiction Park and the United States’ Waypoint Entertainment, promising audiences a chilling cinematic experience.
