The Wrap has announced that Iconic Events is set to bring the public domain horror film “Cinderella’s Revenge” to the big screen, scheduled for release on April 26, 2024.

In this chilling adaptation, Lauren Staerck portrays Cinderella, who, with the assistance of her fairy godmother (played by Natasha Henstridge), seeks retribution against her wicked stepmother. Departing from the traditional narrative, the godmother aids Cinderella in executing a plan of bloody vengeance rather than sending her to a ball to meet her prince.

Directed by Andy Edwards for Sobini Films, the cast also includes Stephanie Lodge, Beatrice Fletcher, Megan Purvis, and Darrell Griggs.

Produced by Mark Amin, Mark Lester, Cami Winikoff, and Jessica Mathis, “Cinderella’s Revenge” promises to deliver a thrilling blend of horror and entertainment to audiences.

Mark L. Lester, one of the producers, expressed excitement about sharing this new take on Cinderella, describing it as simultaneously scary and enjoyable.

Interestingly, “Cinderella’s Revenge” is not the only horror adaptation of the Cinderella story slated for release this year. Director Louisa Warren is also bringing “Cinderella’s Curse,” a gory retelling of the classic tale, to audiences.
