Prepare for a blood-chilling cinematic experience this Halloween as Universal and Blumhouse present ‘Five Nights at Freddy’s‘ on the big screen for the very first time. The film has received an official PG-13 rating from the Motion Picture Association (MPA) for “strong violent content, bloody images, and language.”

Scheduled for release on Friday, October 27, 2023, ‘Five Nights at Freddy’s’ will simultaneously hit theaters and be available on the Peacock streaming platform. Fans can already catch a glimpse of the terror that awaits them by watching the trailer.

The film brings the iconic horror game phenomenon to life, courtesy of Blumhouse, the mastermind behind other spine-chilling hits like ‘M3GAN,’ ‘The Black Phone,’ and ‘The Invisible Man.’

In the movie, a troubled security guard takes up a job at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza, only to discover that surviving the night shift won’t be a walk in the park.

Directed by Emma Tammi, known for ‘The Wind’ and ‘Blood Moon,’ the screenplay for ‘Five Nights at Freddy’s’ was written by Scott Cawthon, Emma Tammi, and Seth Cuddeback.

The cast includes talented actors such as Josh Hutcherson (‘Ultraman,’ ‘The Hunger Games franchise’), Matthew Lillard (‘Good Girls,’ ‘Scream’), Elizabeth Lail (‘You,’ ‘Mack & Rita’), Kat Conner Sterling (‘We Have A Ghost,’ ‘9-1-1’), Piper Rubio (‘Holly & Ivy,’ ‘Unstable’), and Mary Stuart Masterson (‘Blindspot,’ ‘Fried Green Tomatoes’).

Notably, Jim Henson’s Creature Shop is in charge of bringing the iconic monster animatronics to life, promising to elevate the horror to a whole new level.

Blumhouse is producing the film in association with Striker Entertainment, with Scott Cawthon and Jason Blum taking on production duties. Russell Binder and Marc Mostman are also part of the producing team.
