Halloween is about to get bloody.

Shudder has set an October 16 premiere date for Hallowarrior, a post-apocalyptic horror movie that turns Halloween night into a fight for survival.

Milly Shapiro (Hereditary) stars as Pumpkin, the last girl on Earth after a plague wipes out humanity. Living alone in a devastated wasteland, Pumpkin has learned to survive by scavenging for whatever supplies she can find.

But on Halloween night, her solitary tradition is interrupted when a vicious gang of raiders shows up at her doorstep.

Outnumbered and facing a group of heavily armed killers, Pumpkin has only her candy, weapons, and survival instincts to make it through the night. What follows is a brutal battle for survival as the last girl on Earth refuses to become the next victim.

The cast also includes Ajani Russell (Betty), AJ Bowen (You’re Next), and Shannyn Sossamon (Sinister 2).

Writer-director Ben Sottak makes his feature directorial debut with Hallowarrior, expanding his 2021 short film Scavenger into a full-length horror adventure.

Hallowarrior is a love letter to horror and Halloween,” Sottak said. “It’s an honor to have Hallowarrior join the Shudder family, and a treat to introduce their audience to this fun, scary, gory film along with its badass lead, Pumpkin, played by the incredible Milly Shapiro.”

Hallowarrior premieres October 16 on Shudder, just in time for the Halloween season.
