“Until Dawn” Hits Netflix This Week

Published

on

After hitting physical media earlier this month, Until Dawn will stream on Netflix this Thursday, July 24.

Based on Supermassive Games’ survival horror video game, David F. Sandberg (Lights Out, Shazam!) directs from a script by Blair Butler (Hell Fest, The Invitation) and Gary Dauberman (It, Annabelle).

One year after her sister mysteriously disappeared, Clover and her friends head into the remote valley where she vanished in search of answers. Exploring an abandoned visitor center, they find themselves stalked by a masked killer and horrifically murdered one by one…only to wake up and find themselves back at the beginning of the same evening.

Trapped in the valley, they’re forced to relive the nightmare again and again — only each time the killer threat is different, each more terrifying than the last. Hope dwindling, the group soon realizes they have a limited number of deaths left, and the only way to escape is to survive until dawn.

Ella Rubin (Fear Street: Prom Queen), Michael Cimino (Annabelle Comes Home), Odessa A’zion(Hellraiser), Ji-young Yoo (Freaky Tales), Belmont Cameli (“Saved by the Bell”), Maia Mitchell(“The Fosters”), and Peter Stormare (Fargo) star.

Meagan Navarro wrote in her review, “This version of Until Dawn is essentially nothing more than a series of unconnected horror scenes in which characters we don’t care about die again and again.”

Born in the cold month of December, Scotty grew up as a horror fan. With his first horror film ever seen being "Friday the 13th Part 7: The New Blood," Scotty immediately fell in love with horror. Having written six books, the most recent being "The Ultimate Halloween Movie Experience," published by BearManor Media, and being represented by Universal Talent Bookings and 3iBooks Literary Agency, Scotty is excited to bring his horror expertise to GoreCulture to entertain the audience with his vast knowledge of the "spooky things!"
