‘Scream’ Star David Arquette Joins Season 2 of Crime Thriller Series ‘Scarpetta’
David Arquette is stepping back into the world of mystery and murder, joining Season 2 of Prime Video’s hit crime thriller series “Scarpetta” in a recurring role.
The casting also marks a major horror crossover moment, as Arquette could finally appear alongside — bringing together legendary stars from the and franchises for the first time.
Arquette joins a wave of new additions for the upcoming season, including Jodi Balfour, William Zabka, Stella Baker, Kim Dickens, Troy Garity, Jerod Haynes, Michael “Killer Mike” Render, and Holland Taylor.
Returning cast members include Jamie Lee Curtis, Nicole Kidman, Bobby Cannavale, Simon Baker, Ariana DeBose, Rosy McEwen, Amanda Righetti, Jake Cannavale, and Hunter Parrish.
Based on Patricia Cornwell’s bestselling novels, “Scarpetta” centers on forensic pathologist Kay Scarpetta as she investigates gruesome crimes while confronting buried trauma, family tensions, and dangerous secrets from her past.
The first season followed Scarpetta across dual timelines, exploring both her rise as a Chief Medical Examiner in the late 1990s and her present-day return home to investigate a brutal murder case.
Developed by Liz Sarnoff (“Barry,” “Lost”), the series premiered earlier this year and reportedly pulled in more than 34 million viewers within its first 28 days on Prime Video.
Amazon MGM Studios and Blumhouse Television produce the series alongside Blossom Films, Comet Pictures, and P&S Projects.
Production on Season 2 is currently underway in Nashville.
