Four ‘Cape Fear’ Posters Reveal a Terrifying New Face of Fear
Some of the biggest names in film and horror are coming together for one of the most anticipated psychological thrillers of the year—and it’s bringing a familiar nightmare back to life.
Cape Fear is headed to Apple TV+ with a stacked lineup that includes Martin Scorsese, Steven Spielberg, and showrunner Nick Antosca (Channel Zero)—and it already looks like pure tension.
The 10-episode series premieres globally on June 5 with its first two episodes, followed by weekly drops every Friday through July 31, 2026.
Leading the descent into chaos are Amy Adams (Arrival) and Javier Bardem (Dune), who both star and executive produce. They’re joined by Patrick Wilson (The Conjuring: Last Rites), alongside Joe Anders, Lily Collias, Malia Pyles, and CCH Pounder.
In the series, a quiet life begins to rot from the inside out. Anna (Adams) and Tom Bowden (Wilson), a seemingly stable married couple of attorneys, find themselves targeted when Max Cady (Bardem)—a violent criminal they helped put away—is released from prison. And he’s not looking for closure… he’s coming for revenge.
The cast expands even further with Ron Perlman (Hellboy), Ted Levine (The Silence of the Lambs), Margarita Levieva (“Daredevil: Born Again”), and Patrick Fischler (“Twin Peaks”).
The story is rooted in John D. MacDonald’s 1957 novel The Executioners, which first hit the screen in 1962’s Cape Fear starring Gregory Peck, before being reimagined in Cape Fear by Scorsese with Robert De Niro as the unforgettable Max Cady.
Now, the story returns once again—darker, sharper, and more unhinged than ever.
