Paramount+ debuted the werewolf horror series “Wolf Pack” in January 2023, but unfortunately, TV Line reports that the show has been canceled after just one season.

Sarah Michelle Gellar marked her return to the horror genre in this series.

According to TV Line, the cancellation was influenced by the dual Hollywood strikes last summer, serving as the decisive factor for ending “Wolf Pack.” Sources indicate that the potential for a second season would have required nearly two years after the conclusion of Season 1.

Written and produced by Jeff Davis, “Wolf Pack” revolves around a teenage boy and girl whose lives take a drastic turn when a California wildfire unleashes a terrifying supernatural creature, leading it to attack a highway traffic jam beneath the burning hills.

In the midst of the chaos, the wounded boy and girl find themselves drawn to each other and two other teenagers who were adopted sixteen years earlier by a park ranger following another mysterious wildfire. As the full moon rises, the four teens unite to uncover the secret that binds them togetherā€”the bite and blood of a werewolf.

The cast features Sarah Michelle Gellar, alongside Bailey Stender (“iCarly”), Chase Liefeld (“Chang Can Dunk”), Hollie Bahar (“Westworld”), Lanny Joon (“Baby Driver”), Rio Mangini (“Everything Sucks”), Stella Smith (“Stargirl”), Zack Nelson (“Loot”), James Martinez (“Love, Victor”), Amy Pietz (“Caroline in the City”), Bria Brimmer (“Doom Patrol”), John L. Adams (“The Dead Zone”), and Sean Philip Glasgow (“Diary of a Future President”).
