Destry Allyn Spielberg, daughter of renowned filmmaker Steven Spielberg, is stepping into the director’s chair for her feature directorial debut with the horror film Please Don’t Feed the Children. The film has already secured Michelle Dockery of “Downton Abbey” fame for a leading role.

In addition to Michelle Dockery, the cast will feature Vernon Davis, known for his role in “Gasoline Alley,” among others. The horror film marks a significant milestone in Spielberg’s career, and Vernon Davis expressed his excitement, saying, “I’m beyond excited to be part of Destry’s directorial debut, as well as the opportunity to share the screen with such a talented and inspirational cast.”

The ensemble cast also includes Zoe Colletti, recognized for her work in “Only Murders in the Building” and “Boo,” Regan Aliyah of “Marvel’s Ironheart” and “XO Kitty” fame, and Andrew Liner, known for roles in “Vampire Academy” and “Bang Bang.”

“Please Don’t Feed the Children” delves into a post-apocalyptic world where a viral outbreak has decimated the adult population. A group of orphans embarks on a journey south in search of a new life, only to find themselves at the mercy of a deranged woman harboring a perilous secret.

Paul Bertino penned the script for this psychological thriller, described as an “elevated genre film.” The production is in the capable hands of Jason Dubin and his Perry Street Films, alongside producers Josh Kesselman and Michael Hagerty.

Destry Allyn Spielberg expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to bring this unique story to the screen. She emphasized that “Please Don’t Feed the Children” is more than just a horror film; it’s a dream come true to collaborate with a talent like Michelle Dockery and an incredible cast and crew. The project promises to push the boundaries of the genre, offering audiences an exciting and immersive cinematic experience.
