Just two months following his daughter Ishana Night Shyamalan’s debut in the horror flick “The Watchers,” M. Night Shyamalan unveils his latest thriller, “Trap.”

Scheduled for a nationwide release on August 9, 2024, this Warner Bros. production marks Shyamalan’s sixteenth venture in his illustrious, Oscar-nominated career.

Prepare for a riveting new mystery with the official trailer below, introducing a tantalizing narrative enriched by the talents of burgeoning music sensation Saleka Shyamalan, portraying the fictional pop icon Lady Raven.

In this forthcoming thriller featuring Josh Hartnett, audiences are thrust into a gripping scenario where “A father and teen daughter attend a pop concert, where they realize they’re at the center of a dark and sinister event.”

As hinted in the trailer, the seemingly innocuous pop concert serves as an intricate trap meticulously devised to ensnare The Butcher, a notorious serial killer eluding law enforcement.

Describing the enigmatic film as “very bizarre” and “very dark,” Hartnett offers a glimpse into the ominous depths of the narrative.

IMDb reveals an eclectic ensemble cast for “Trap,” including Hayley Mills, Marnie McPhail, Vanessa Smythe, Saleka Shyamalan, Scott Ian MacDougall, Kristi Woods, and Cali Lorella.

This marks Shyamalan’s maiden collaboration with Warner Bros. under a newly inked deal, characterized as a “multi-year first-look directing and producing agreement.”

Produced by Ashwin Rajan, Marc Bienstock, and M. Night Shyamalan, with Steven Schneider serving as executive producer, “Trap” promises to deliver a spine-chilling cinematic experience unlike any other.
