Just two months following his daughter Ishana Night Shyamalan’s debut in the horror film “The Watchers,” the renowned filmmaker M. Night Shyamalan returns with his latest cinematic offering.

Titled “Trap,” Shyamalan’s new thriller, the sixteenth installment in his illustrious career, was initially slated for release on August 2. However, a recent update reveals that the film’s theatrical debut has been rescheduled for August 9, 2024.

In this upcoming thriller, featuring Josh Hartnett in a leading role, the narrative revolves around a father and his teenage daughter who find themselves embroiled in a dark and sinister event while attending a pop concert.

Describing the film as “very bizarre” and “very dark,” Hartnett has offered tantalizing hints about the mysterious nature of the project.

The cast of “Trap” also includes Hayley Mills, Marnie McPhail, Vanessa Smythe, Saleka Shyamalan, Scott Ian MacDougall, Kristi Woods, and Cali Lorella, as listed on IMDb.

“Trap” marks Shyamalan’s first film under his new deal with Warner Bros., characterized as a “multi-year first-look directing and producing agreement.”
