Director Gregg Bishop (Dance of the Dead, Siren) is returning to horror with The Heretiks, a new Halloween-set feature from writers Ben Collins and Luke Piotrowski (Hellraiser 2022, The Night House). According to Deadline, filming on the project has officially wrapped.
The outlet also reports that the film stars Kimberly Epstein, Josie Wert, Ava Mae Seidensticker, Tess Williams, and Luke Speakman (Weapons).
First look images have now been revealed, offering an early glimpse at the upcoming horror story.
In The Heretiks, Cai (Epstein), a rogue witch, finds herself forced to protect sisters Ada (Wert) and Mabel (Seidensticker), along with their friend Wesley (Speakman), from her former coven. The group is led by the fanatical and violent Neve (Williams), who intends to trigger the apocalypse through a ritual sacrifice on Halloween night.
The film is produced by Brad Miska under his new label Be Afraid Media.
“I couldn’t be more proud of what this team pulled off,” Bishop said in a statement shared by Deadline. “We set out to make a visceral, high-stakes Halloween horror experience, grounded in performance and built for a crowd, and I can’t wait to share it.”
More updates on The Heretiks are expected soon.
