‘Scary Movie’ Returns to Theaters with New Poster and Immersive 4DX Release Announcement

The new poster for brings the franchise back to its roots, showing the cast gathered inside a movie theater — a callback to the iconic imagery used throughout the original 2000 film and its sequels.

A newly released still also teases the return of Ghostface, with Marlon Wayans shown gaming alongside the legendary slasher villain.

The sixth installment in the long-running horror parody franchise arrives in theaters on June 5, with screenings available in 4DX, Dolby Cinema, and other premium large formats.

“People want to feel good again,” Marlon Wayans said in a recent interview with Empire. “It’s been a long time since we felt good, and laughter is bonding.”

The legacy sequel reunites several familiar faces from the franchise, including Anna Faris, Regina Hall, Shawn Wayans, Dave Sheridan, Lochlyn Munro, Cheri Oteri, Chris Elliott, and Jon Abrahams.

Joining them are Damon Wayans Jr., Gregg Wayans, Kim Wayans, Heidi Gardner, Kenan Thompson, Felissa Rose, Olivia Rose Keegan, Sydney Park, and more.

Michael Tiddes, known for , directs from a script written by Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans, original franchise director Keenen Ivory Wayans, Craig Wayans, and Rick Alvarez.

This time around, is taking aim at everything modern horror fans know too well — reboots, remakes, requels, elevated horror, spin-offs, origin stories, and those “final chapters” that somehow never end.
