Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Orlando Bloom Team Up for Survival Thriller ‘Reset’
Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Orlando Bloom are heading into the wilderness for a new psychological survival thriller titled Reset.
According to Deadline, and will lead the upcoming film, with production expected to begin this August.
Matt Smukler, director of Wildflower, is helming the project from a screenplay written by Jordan Rawlins.
The story follows a woman played by Chopra Jonas who suddenly wakes up alone in a remote wilderness far from civilization, unable to remember how she got there. Stranded and desperate to survive, she encounters a mysterious stranger portrayed by Bloom.
But as the two attempt to navigate the brutal environment together, trust quickly becomes dangerous, and she begins to suspect the man helping her may not be who he claims to be.
Director Matt Smukler described the film as balancing attraction and suspicion between its two leads.
“I was looking for a pairing where attraction and mistrust could effortlessly coexist,” Smukler explained. “Priyanka and Orlando have this uncanny ability to make you believe both at once.”
The thriller is being produced by Chopra Jonas’ Purple Pebble Pictures and Bloom’s Amazing Owl alongside Fratricidal Films, Chemically Altered, and Rhodes Entertainment.
Producers Jon and Erich Hoeber described the project as a tense survival story packed with romance, deception, suspense, and major twists.
Fortitude International is financing the film and launching international sales at the Cannes Film Market next week.
