Summer hasn’t even fully kicked in yet, but horror is already dominating the 2026 release calendar. After a massive May, June follows up with a packed slate of new horror movies hitting theaters, streaming platforms, and digital release.

Outside of one major reboot, this month is loaded with original horror stories—from mythological monsters and psychological thrillers to stop-motion nightmares and indie survival horror. Even blockbuster-level filmmakers are joining the chaos.

Here are 10 new horror movies releasing in June 2026.

Scary Movie – In Theaters Now

The Scary Movie franchise returns with its sixth installment, marking the first entry since 2013 and the long-awaited Wayans family reunion with the series.

Directed by Michael Tiddes (A Haunted House) and written by Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans, Keenen Ivory Wayans, Craig Wayans, and Rick Alvarez, the new film brings back the franchise’s signature horror parody style.

Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans, Anna Faris, and Regina Hall return as the “Core Four,” joined by franchise veterans like Dave Sheridan, Lochlyn Munro, Cheri Oteri, Chris Elliott, and Jon Abrahams, along with a large ensemble cast of returning and new faces.

This time, nothing in horror is safe—legacy sequels, reboots, elevated horror, requels, and every modern horror trend gets targeted.
