The King of the Monsters is coming back—and this time, Godzilla is falling from the sky.

Toho has unleashed a brand new official trailer for Godzilla Minus Zero, giving fans an explosive new look at the highly anticipated follow-up to Godzilla Minus One.

And judging by the footage, Godzilla’s reign of terror is far from over.

A Bigger Godzilla Nightmare

Godzilla Minus Zero was filmed entirely in Japan and marks the first Japanese production ever to be Filmed For IMAX.

The movie was shot using high-definition digital cameras certified by IMAX and specially optimized for the format, with sound and imagery designed to take full advantage of IMAX screens.

In other words, this is one Godzilla movie that’s meant to be experienced as loudly—and monstrously—as possible.

The Original Cast Returns

Godzilla Minus Zero brings back Godzilla Minus One stars Ryunosuke Kamiki and Minami Hamabe, with filmmaker Takashi Yamazaki once again behind the camera.

Yamazaki returns as director, writer, and visual effects supervisor, following the massive success of Godzilla Minus One.

The new film is set in 1949, two years after the events of its predecessor.

And Japan is still struggling to rebuild.

“There Is No Third Time”

The official synopsis sets the stage for another devastating chapter:

“War reduced Japan to zero, and Godzilla plunged it into minus. Two years have passed since then, and the country has faced agonizing struggles to achieve recovery and finally reclaim its daily life.”

But just as the country begins to find its footing, another nightmare emerges.

“Just as humanity managed to cling to a hard-won peace, a new threat strikes, crushing hope in an instant.”

And this time, there may be no coming back.

“There is no third time. Everything ends here.”

Godzilla Minus Zero stomps into North American theaters November 6, 2026, from GKIDS.
