Breaking Glass Pictures has unveiled the North American release plans for Nesting, a chilling postpartum psychological thriller from director Chloé Cinq-Mars.
Also known as Peau à Peau, the film arrives on VOD May 29, 2026.
Nesting centers on Pénélope (Rose-Marie Perreault), a new mother grappling with postpartum depression while haunted by the unresolved trauma of her sister’s death. As exhaustion and sleepless nights take their toll, her grip on reality begins to fracture, sending her into a tense spiral where dreams and waking life blur in increasingly dangerous ways.
Perreault is joined by a supporting cast that includes Simon Landry-Desy, Saladin Dellers, Marie Bélanger, and Alex Lauzon.
Ahead of its digital debut, the film will receive a one-night theatrical screening on May 26 at select Alamo Drafthouse Cinema locations across the U.S., including cities like Austin, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, and more.
Nesting first premiered at the Fantasia Film Festival, where Cinq-Mars took home the 2025 Best Director award, kicking off a strong festival run.
In his review out of Fantasia, Joe Lipsett praised Perreault’s performance, noting that “Pénélope feels like a real, harried mother,” with the film’s layered backstory unfolding through striking visuals and subtle, emotionally driven storytelling.
