A routine open house spirals into a nightmare in Push, the latest home invasion thriller from writer-directors David Charbonier and Justin Powell (The Boy Behind the Door, The Djinn), arriving on Shudder July 11, 2025.
Starring Alicia Sanz (El Cid) and Raúl Castillo (Smile 2), Push follows Natalie Flores (Sanz), a pregnant realtor desperate for a fresh start after the death of her fiancé. Eight months along and determined to reclaim control of her life, she relocates to America and takes on a difficult real estate listing—one that quickly becomes a living nightmare.
During an open house at a remote property, Natalie catches the attention of a sadistic intruder (Castillo). Stranded and alone, she unexpectedly goes into premature labor, turning her fight for survival into a race against time. With every contraction, the stakes rise, and Natalie must summon every ounce of strength to escape before giving birth.
Written and directed by Charbonier and Powell, Push is produced by Ryan Scaringe and executive produced by Amy Lippens, Jilbert Daniel, Del Charbonier, Alicia Sanz, and Raúl Castillo.
The newly released trailer and poster heighten the tension, blending the primal fear of childbirth with the terror of being hunted in isolation. It’s a brutal, claustrophobic thriller where escape seems impossible—and time is literally running out.
In a recent review, one critic wrote:
“Charbonier and Powell strip away all excess, delivering a lean, relentless home invasion thriller. With echoes of classic suspense, Push still manages to unnerve in unexpected ways, thanks in large part to two powerhouse lead performances and direction that makes sustained tension feel effortless.“
Check out the trailer and poster below—and prepare for a nerve-shredding experience when Push premieres this summer.
