Yesterday, Peacock made waves at #SummerGameFest by showcasing an extended clip from their highly anticipated “Twisted Metal” TV series. Building up the excitement, they have now released a full gallery of captivating new images.

Set to premiere on July 27, “Twisted Metal” grants us a sneak peek at Neve Campbell and Thomas Haden Church in the series, along with fresh shots of Anthony Mackie’s character and the appearance of pro wrestler Samoa Joe as Sweet Tooth.

In this adrenaline-fueled action comedy series, starring Anthony Mackie, we follow the journey of a fast-talking outsider who receives an opportunity for a better life. However, the catch is that he must successfully transport a mysterious package across a post-apocalyptic wasteland.

Notably, Will Arnett lends his voice to the iconic character Sweet Tooth in Peacock’s “Twisted Metal” television series, while AEW superstar Samoa Joe brings the character to life physically. The stellar cast also includes Neve Campbell as Raven, alongside Stephanie Beatriz, Thomas Haden Church, Mike Mitchell, Tahj Vaughans, and Lou Beatty Jr., adding depth to this video game adaptation.

The creative vision behind this live-action series comes from Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, the talented duo known for their work on “Zombieland” and the “Deadpool” movie.

Michael Jonathan Smith, known for his contributions to “Cobra Kai,” is set to write and show-run the “Twisted Metal” series. Additionally, Will Arnett and Marc Forman serve as executive producers, ensuring a captivating and immersive experience.

The original “Twisted Metal” game, developed by SingleTrac and published by Sony for the PlayStation, first graced screens in 1995. With subsequent sequels and spin-offs, a movie adaptation was once in the pipeline, spearheaded by the director of “Crank” and “Ghost Rider.” Although that project never came to fruition, the development of a TV adaptation has been underway for the past few years, heightening anticipation among fans.
