Golden Globes Nominate “The Last of Us” for Best TV Series; Pascal and Ramsey Also Receive Nominations

The 2024 Golden Globe Award nominations were revealed today, and HBO‘s adaptation of “The Last of Us” has garnered recognition.

The series, based on the video game, secured a nomination for Best Television Series – Drama, standing alongside other prominent shows like “Succession,” “The Crown,” “The Diplomat,” “1932,” and “The Morning Show.”

Pedro Pascal, the lead actor in “The Last of Us,” received a nomination for Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series – Drama. He’s contending with Brian Cox, Kieran Culkin, and Jeremy Strong from “Succession,” Gary Oldman for “Slow Horses,” and Dominic West for “The Crown.”

Bella Ramsey has also been nominated for her role in the series, competing in the Best Performance by an Actress in a TV Series – Drama category. She’s among other notable nominees like Helen Mirren, Keri Russell, Sarah Snook, Imelda Staunton, and Emma Stone.

The return of “The Last of Us” for Season 2 on HBO is anticipated in 2025.

Among the genre projects nominated for Golden Globes next year are “Poor Things,” “Society of the Snow,” “John Wick: Chapter 4,” “Saltburn,” “Dream Scenario,” “Beau Is Afraid,” and “Dead Ringers.”
