After Peacock’s announcement of the “Twisted Metal” series, Prime Video is doubling down on video game adaptations, and this time, they’re diving headfirst into the wasteland with the “Fallout” TV series.

Today, it’s been revealed that the original “Fallout” series will make its debut on Prime Video in 2024.

This exciting TV series is a collaborative effort between Amazon Studios, Kilter Films (led by Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy), and Bethesda Game Studios, as well as Bethesda Softworks. Notably, Jonathan Nolan will take the director’s chair for the show’s premiere episode. Serving as showrunners for the series are Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner.

For those unfamiliar with the “Fallout” universe, it envisions an alternate future where the idyllic dreams of Americans from the late 1940s are shattered by a catastrophic nuclear war in 2077. The allure of the “Fallout” world lies in its stark contrast between the harsh reality of the post-apocalyptic wasteland and the optimistic visions of a better world through nuclear energy held by the previous generation.

The cast of “Fallout” includes Kyle MacLachlan (“Twin Peaks”), Xelia Mendes-Jones, Aaron Moten, Ella Purnell (“Yellowjackets”), and Walton Goggins (“The Hateful Eight”).

As the anticipation builds, fans of the “Fallout” video game series can look forward to immersing themselves in a world of nuclear fallout when the TV series arrives on Prime Video in 2024.
