Gen V,” the anticipated spinoff series of “The Boys,” is set to embark on a different kind of schooling experience this Fall. The upcoming series, which is set at a college, will be arriving on Prime Video. Today, Prime Video has revealed character descriptions for “Gen V,” along with a new poster that provides a glimpse into what viewers can expect.

“Gen V” is set to premiere its first three episodes on Friday, September 29, followed by weekly releases every Friday. The season will conclude on November 3.

The official synopsis sets the stage: “Expanding the universe of The Boys, ‘Gen V’ ventures into Godolkin University, an esteemed superhero-only college where students train to become the next generation of heroes, preferably with lucrative endorsements. While we know what happens when superheroes take a dark turn, not all of them begin with sinister intentions. Amidst the typical chaos of college life, as students navigate self-discovery and revelry, they also find themselves dealing with explosive situationsā€”literally. As they vie for popularity and academic success, the stakes are raised exponentially when superpowers come into play. When these young supes uncover a more significant and sinister plot at the school, they must decide whether they will be the heroes or the villains in their own stories.”

“Gen V” is brought to life by showrunners Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters. The series cast includes Jaz Sinclair, Chance Perdomo, Lizze Broadway, Shelley Conn, Maddie Phillips, London Thor, Derek Luh, Asa Germann, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Sean Patrick Thomas, and Marco Pigossi. Notable guest stars include Clancy Brown and Jason Ritter, with appearances by Jessie T. Usher, Claudia Doumit, Colby Minifie, and P.J. Byrne reprising their roles from “The Boys.”

The character lineup features:

Jaz Sinclair as Marie Moreau: An 18-year-old superhero who can manipulate and weaponize her own blood. As a new student at Godolkin University, she’s eager to prove herself to join The Seven, but she becomes engrossed in a school mystery.

Chance Perdomo as Andre Anderson: A junior at Godolkin University with magnetic abilities. Andre is the best friend of Golden Boy and the son of the famous superhero Polarity. As he realizes something amiss at school, he takes it upon himself to uncover the truth.

Lizze Broadway as Emma Meyer (Little Cricket): Possessing the power to shrink, Emma becomes friends with her roommate Marie. Despite her naivety, she forms a strong bond with Marie and together they navigate the mysterious dangers of the university.

Shelley Conn as Indira Shetty: The dean of Godolkin University, Indira lacks powers but excels in superhero psychology. She aims to transform the university into the top institution for supes and takes a keen interest in Marie.

Maddie Phillips as Cate Dunlap: A junior with the power to command others using touch. Confident and powerful, she’s also popular due to her relationship with Luke.

London Thor and Derek Luh as Jordan Li: A competitive student capable of changing genders to access different powers. They are standout TAs at Brinkā€™s School of Crime Fighting.

Asa Germann as Sam: A powerful supe seeking to escape his troubled past.
