The ocean has always been terrifying, but The Devil’s Mouth proves that the real nightmare begins when there’s nowhere left to swim.

Prime Video has unleashed the official trailer for the upcoming survival horror thriller, which strands a group of friends inside a flooded cave system where a relentless predator lurks beneath the surface. Starring Kathryn Newton and Lana Condor, The Devil’s Mouth premieres worldwide on July 29.

The film follows five friends who head to Thailand’s breathtaking coastline for one final adventure before adulthood pulls them in different directions. Their trip takes them into a remote underwater cave network known as The Devil’s Mouth, a stunning natural attraction that quickly transforms into a death trap.

After recent flooding washes marine life deep into the freshwater cave system, the group discovers that not everything trapped below died. Hunted through claustrophobic tunnels by a deadly predator, every wrong turn becomes a fight for survival as fear tears the friends apart. With no clear escape and panic setting in, they’ll have to decide how far they’re willing to go to make it out alive.

Directed by Jeff Wadlow (Truth or Dare, Imaginary), the film features a screenplay revised by Wadlow from an original script by Aja Gabel (Sunny) and Myung Joh Wesner (Star Wars: Skeleton Crew).

The cast includes Kathryn Newton (Abigail, Lisa Frankenstein, Ready or Not 2: Here I Come), Lana Condor (Pretty Lethal), Nico Hiraga, Gavin Casalegno, Tommi Rose, and Tayme Thapthimthong.

The Motion Picture Association has given The Devil’s Mouth a PG-13 rating for violent content, bloody images, some language, and suggestive material.
