‘Dexter: Resurrection’ Season 2 Brings Back Krysten Ritter
It looks like death isn’t the end in the world of Dexter: Resurrection.
According to a new report from Deadline, Krysten Ritter is officially returning for Season 2 of the hit Paramount+ series, despite her character Mia seemingly meeting her end during the first season.
Exactly how Ritter fits into the new season remains under wraps. It’s unknown whether she’ll reprise Mia—also known as the serial killer Lady Vengeance—through flashbacks, hallucinations, or if the franchise is preparing another unexpected resurrection. Given Dexter’s long history of bringing characters back in surprising ways, fans aren’t ruling anything out. Ritter herself has previously hinted that Mia’s story may not be over.
Ritter joins Uma Thurman, who has already been confirmed to return as Charley for the second season.
Season 2 will see Dexter Morgan caught between two deadly threats: one infamous killer and another who is terrorizing New York City in shocking fashion. At the same time, Dexter must navigate what has been described as his greatest challenge yet—a mid-life crisis. Meanwhile, Harrison continues carving out his own path as father and son enter what promises to be their darkest chapter together.
Michael C. Hall returns as Dexter alongside Jack Alcott, Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine, Kadia Saraf, Dominic Fumusa, Desmond Harrington, and James Remar.
The upcoming season also introduces several notable newcomers, including Dan Stevens as The Five Borough Killer, Bokeem Woodbine as NYPD Homicide Captain Mixon, Nona Parker Johnson as Harrison Morgan’s new love interest Fiona Mixon, and Brian Cox as The New York Ripper.
With familiar faces returning, terrifying new killers entering the picture, and more unanswered questions surrounding Mia’s fate, Dexter: Resurrection Season 2 is already shaping up to raise the body count once again.
The first season of Dexter: Resurrection is now streaming on Paramount+.
