Fans of Eli Roth’s twisted imagination can finally rejoice as the once-fake trailer from the Grindhouse Double Feature (2007), “Thanksgiving,” has now materialized into a genuine movie. IGN has exclusively unveiled the brand new Red Band trailer, giving eager viewers a glimpse into this gruesome holiday horror flick.

Mark your calendars because Eli Roth’s “Thanksgiving” is set to make its exclusive theatrical debut on November 17.

The official Red Band trailer for “Thanksgiving” strips away the Grindhouse-style filter of grime that adorned the original faux trailer over a decade ago. What’s in store for the actual “Thanksgiving” movie is a slick, modern-day slasher set in the present, but judging by this trailer, it’s clear that Eli Roth hasn’t forsaken any of the ’80s-style gore.

“Thanksgiving” appears to be a return to Roth’s blood-soaked roots, featuring an ensemble of attractive young actors who are destined for gruesome fates, much like Thanksgiving turkeys on a carving board.

Though it’s no longer the 1980s, who says we have to bid farewell to the good-old-fashioned slasher flick? This Thanksgiving promises to be a carving of epic proportions, with no leftovers in sight.

TriStar Pictures and Spyglass Media Group (known for “Scream”) will bring this expansion of Roth’s original faux trailer to theaters worldwide.

In “Thanksgiving,” a tale that unfolds after a tragic Black Friday riot, a sinister killer with Thanksgiving-inspired motives terrorizes Plymouth, Massachusetts—the very birthplace of the infamous holiday.

The cast for this feature-length slasher extravaganza boasts the talents of Patrick Dempsey, Addison Rae, Jalen Thomas Brooks (“Walker”), Milo Manheim (“Zombies”), Nell Verlaque (“Big Shot”), Gina Gershon (“Chucky”), Tim Dillon, and Rick Hoffman (“Hostel”).

The script was penned by Roth and Jeff Rendell, with Roger Birnbaum and Eli Roth taking on production duties. Prepare yourself for a holiday feast of terror like no other when “Thanksgiving” hits the big screen.
