Renowned directorial team Radio Silence, known for their work on films like “V/H/S,” “Southbound,” and the “Scream” franchise, is set to helm an enigmatic project titled “Untitled Monster Thriller” for Universal Studios. While no official plot details have been revealed thus far, it has been confirmed that Giancarlo Esposito, widely recognized for his role in “The Mandalorian,” has joined the cast.

The highly anticipated film is scheduled for release on April 19, 2024. Alongside Esposito, the talented ensemble includes Dan Stevens from “The Guest,” Alisha Weir from “Matilda: The Musical,” Kevin Durand from “The Strain,” Kathryn Newton from “Freaky,” as well as Angus Cloud and Will Catlett.

Notably, Melissa Barrera, who played a significant role in Radio Silence’s previous two “Scream” movies, has recently been announced as the lead in this mysterious untitled horror project.

Although initially referred to as “Dracula’s Daughter,” the movie’s exact premise remains undisclosed. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the original concept revolved around a group of kidnappers who abduct a band of young individuals, with one of them turning out to be the titular character. The kidnappers soon face dire consequences. Alisha Weir portrays the abductee, who unveils unexpected qualities, while Melissa Barrera assumes the role of one of the kidnappers.

Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett will be directing the film, with producer Chad Villella, along with William Sherak, Paul Neinstein, and James Vanderbilt from Project X Entertainment. The script was initially penned by Stephen Shields and later revised by Guy Busick.

As for the much-anticipated “Scream 7,” details about the next installment in the franchise have yet to be announced. However, fans can expect Ghostface to make a comeback in due time.
