The burgeoning genre label, Welcome Villain Films, burst onto the cinematic scene earlier this year with their spine-tingling release, “Malum.” Now, they’re gearing up for another thrilling offering, an ultra-violent Australian horror film aptly titled “Beaten to Death.”

Today, Bloody Disgusting has unveiled exciting news: “Beaten to Death” is set to hit theaters on September 1. As you anxiously await its release, feast your eyes on the official poster by Creepy Duck Design below.

The official trailer is just around the corner, slated for release on August 23.

The narrative of “Beaten to Death” unfolds after a fateful choice propels a man named Jack down a treacherous path, leaving him battered and bruised as he grapples with the forces of man, nature, and his own descending sanity.

Here’s the full official logline for this outback horror thriller: “Stranded in the desolation after barely surviving a harrowing assault, Jack finds himself encountering one local after another, quickly realizing that a twisted game of cat and mouse is about to ensue. Battling both deranged rural psychopaths and the unforgiving landscape, Jack must push himself to the extreme to stay alive.”

“Beaten to Death” is helmed by director Sam Curtain, who co-wrote the script alongside Benjamin Jung-Clarke. The film features a talented cast including Thomas Roach, David Tracy, Justan Wagner, and Nicole Tudor.

This audacious horror flick had its world premiere at Australia’s A Night Of Horror International Film Festival and has since generated both controversy and curiosity due to its extreme violence. It’s being heralded as a welcome revival of the Outback horror subgenre.

Luke LaBeau, Head of Development at Welcome Villain, expresses, “‘Beaten to Death’ is an absolute beast of a film, and is the type of boundary-pushing gut punch that the genre needs right now. It floored us. Not only is it loaded with extreme, unrelenting violence, but it is just an incredibly well-made film on virtually every level.”

Prepare yourselves for an unrelenting plunge into the depths of horror when “Beaten to Death” arrives in theaters.
