Filmmaker Sam Curtain pulls no punches with “Beaten to Death,” delivering an unsettling and extreme horror experience that’s bound to leave a lasting impact. Today, we’re thrilled to share the latest trailer for “Beaten to Death,” offering a glimpse into the visceral violence that awaits.

This gory and ultra-violent Australian horror film is set to hit select theaters on September 1.

The story of “Beaten to Death” unravels after a harrowing decision forces a man named Jack down a dark path, leaving him battered and mentally fractured as he grapples with the challenges posed by both humanity and nature.

The official logline for this outback horror movie provides further insight: “Stranded in the middle of nowhere after barely surviving a horrific assault, Jack encounters one local after another and quickly learns that a sick game of cat and mouse is about to begin. Battling the deranged country psychos and the unforgiving landscape, Jack must go to extreme lengths to survive.”

“Beaten to Death” is helmed by director Sam Curtain, who co-wrote the script with Benjamin Jung-Clarke. The film features Thomas Roach, David Tracy, Justan Wagner, and Nicole Tudor in its cast.

The movie had its world premiere at Australia’s A Night Of Horror International Film Festival, sparking both controversy and curiosity due to its extreme violence. It’s being hailed as a triumphant return to the Outback horror subgenre.

“‘Beaten to Death’ is an absolute powerhouse of a film, offering the kind of boundary-pushing gut-punch that the genre craves right now. It left us awestruck,” says Luke LaBeau, Head of Development at Welcome Villain.
