Arachnophobes, brace yourselves. After creeping through Steam Next Fest with a skin-crawling demo, Huntsman is officially stalking its way onto Steam on November 27th, courtesy of Ten Image Publishing and OnTheHouse Studio. To celebrate the release date, the devs dropped a new trailer—kicking off their “Creature Feature” series—spotlighting the nightmare fuel lurking inside Atherton Labs.

“Our launch date is looming on the horizon with all the menace and poise of a giant huntsman spider, ready to pounce,” says Ten Image founder Chris White. According to the studio, tens of thousands of players tore into the demo and flooded them with feedback as they started unraveling the rot festering inside the facility.

Episode One digs into the Huntsman spider itself—fast, twitchy, and always listening. These monsters stalk the corridors using sound, especially your panicked footsteps. Sneak by if you’re careful… or weaponize the environment to distract anything hungry enough to chase you down.

Episode Two, dropping later this week, focuses on the orb weaver—an ambush predator that hangs above dark hallways waiting to snatch slow-moving prey and cocoon them alive. They don’t wander far from their webs, but spotting them in pitch-black corners is half the battle. You’ll need throwables to force them back into the shadows.

Episodes Three and Four will introduce the final spider variants, each with their own terrifying behaviors, hunting styles, and survival tactics.

In Huntsman, you step into the role of the newest security guard at Atherton Laboratories—just in time for an eight-legged takeover. Outnumbered, unarmed, and trapped in lockdown, you’ll need to outsmart the predators crawling through the dark if you want any chance of escaping alive.
