“I’ve always wondered how you’d taste.”
After weeks of toying with his prey, Pennywise is finally slithering back onto screens as “IT: Welcome to Derry” continues next week—his hunger sharper than ever.
With four episodes down and four still looming in the shadows, HBO Max has dropped a Midseason Trailer that teases the blood-chilling chaos yet to come.
Bill Skarsgård is officially stepping back into his most infamous skin in the upcoming episodes. While the season’s opening chapters showcased the creature’s other twisted forms, those were merely appetizers. Now that the audience has been tenderized, Pennywise is ready for the main course. The Midseason Trailer gives a glimpse of what happens when the clown stops playing… and starts feeding.
Expanding the world of Andy Muschietti’s IT films—born from Stephen King’s 1986 nightmare of a novel—the series roots its first season in 1962, with Muschietti directing multiple episodes.
The story begins years before the events of It: Chapter One (2017), with Seasons 2 and 3 planned to claw back even further into Derry’s cursed history. The show draws heavily from Mike Hanlon’s interludes, the grim chapters that catalog the “catastrophic events” soaked into the soil of Derry, Maine.
Season 1’s finale drops Sunday, December 14.
