Stephen Lang Says ‘Don’t Breathe 3’ Could Happen — “It Deserves to Complete the Trilogy”
The Blind Man isn’t done yet — at least, not if Stephen Lang has his way.
In a recent chat with Dexerto, Lang revealed that a third Don’t Breathe film could still be on the horizon. “It’s a way off, and it’s not a certainty, but I do think that we are all kind of crawling in the same direction,” he said, keeping hope alive for another round of tension and terror.
Lang continued, “A lot of people want it to happen — but only if it’s done right. The first one was perfect. The second one was very, very cool. Somehow, the third one needs to tie it all up. It needs to make it truly a trilogy. So I hope it’ll happen. I think it will.”
The franchise began in 2016 with Fede Álvarez’s Don’t Breathe, a suffocating home-invasion nightmare that turned the tables on its would-be burglars. Co-writer Rodo Sayagues took over directing duties for Don’t Breathe 2 in 2021, transforming Lang’s character — the blind, battle-hardened veteran Norman Nordstrom — from a monster into something closer to an antihero.
Sayagues previously hinted that Don’t Breathe 3 could bring back Rocky (Jane Levy) from the first film. “There’s no closure for Norman or for Rocky,” he told ComicBook.com. “They both got away with something. They both have a past that will haunt them.”
Whether it’s vengeance, redemption, or one last deadly confrontation, fans may not have seen the last of The Blind Man.
Until then, Lang will next appear in Sisu: Road to Revenge, hitting theaters November 21.
