‘Orphan 3’ Filming Begins – The Twisted Sequel Gets Darker

The nightmare isn’t over. Isabelle Fuhrman is back as Esther, the twisted child with a deadly secret, in Orphan 3, and production has officially begun, Bloody Disgusting reports.

Fuhrman first terrified audiences in 2009’s Orphan, and returned for 2022’s prequel Orphan: First Kill, proving the devilishly devious Esther is as terrifying as ever.

The team behind Orphan: First Kill is back for the third installment, including writer David Coggeshall (The Family Plan) and director William Brent Bell (The Boy franchise).

Plot details are being kept under lock and key, but Fuhrman promises fans it will be “wilder and crazier” than anything before.

Dark Castle is thrilled to bring another terrifying chapter to the Orphan saga,” says co-CEO Norman Golightly. “With the past success of the first two movies, Orphan 3 will be a must-see for die-hard fans—and new victims alike.”

For a reminder of Esther’s deadly origins: in the original Orphan, a seemingly innocent 9-year-old adopted by a couple turns out to be a 33-year-old sociopath. The prequel followed her chilling escape from an Estonian psychiatric facility, impersonating a missing girl to infiltrate a wealthy American family.

If Orphan 3 is anything like its predecessors, audiences should prepare for twisted schemes, shocking scares, and a masterclass in modern horror villainy.
