Osgood Perkins, the master of modern horror (Longlegs, The Monkey), is back with his latest nightmare, Keeper — and the film is shrouded in mystery. Wrapped in top-secret fashion, only a select few have screened it so far, while NEON rolls out a cryptic marketing campaign to keep fans guessing.

Despite the secrecy, a handful of horror legends have already seen Keeper — and their reactions are unanimous: this is Perkins at his most terrifying and inventive. The praise comes from some of the genre’s biggest names, including Hideo Kojima, Guillermo del Toro, James Wan, Damien Leone, Bong Joon Ho, Fede Alvarez, and Eli Roth.

Here’s what they’re saying:

  • Hideo Kojima (Metal Gear, Death Stranding): “Once again, Osgood Perkins blends new ‘fear’ and ‘surprise.’ He is the wizard of horror.”
  • Guillermo del Toro (Pan’s Labyrinth, Frankenstein): “Keeper is horror origami that skillfully folds into itself, shifting shapes: mutating comedy into horror and horror into human drama.”
  • James Wan (Saw, The Conjuring): “A terrifying, ghostly descent into madness.”
  • Damien Leone (Terrifier 2, Terrifier 3): “A twisted vision. Osgood Perkins further establishes himself as a formidable voice in horror.”
  • Fede Alvarez (Don’t Breathe, Evil Dead): “Both haunting and hypnotic – Keeper is a sensory experience of pure terror.”
  • Bong Joon Ho (Parasite, The Host): “Through his distinct framing style, Perkins presents the human form as fragile, on the verge of collapse. Discomfort becomes anxiety, then transforms into fear…alongside Ari Aster, a most uncanny eruption of talent.”
  • Eli Roth (Cabin Fever, Thanksgiving): “Haunting, creepy and beautiful. Like a surreal David Lynch movie. Totally original and unforgettable.”

Starring Tatiana Maslany (Orphan Black, The Monkey) and Rossif Sutherland (Possessor), Keeper is set to hit theaters nationwide from NEON on November 14. Fans can catch an early screening as part of the Horrors of Osgood Perkins Triple Feature on November 13.

With this lineup of praise from horror’s finest, Keeper is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated genre films of the year — a surreal, twisted, and unforgettable journey into fear.
