Osgood Perkins returns with his latest horror film, Keeper, already earning acclaim from genre heavyweights Guillermo del Toro, James Wan, and Damien Leone, whose quotes are featured in the new trailer. The trailer also teases bizarre and haunting imagery, leaving fans eager for more.
Tatiana Maslany (The Monkey, Orphan Black) and Rossif Sutherland (Possessor) star in the mysterious thriller, which hits theaters November 14.
Keeper follows a couple on a romantic anniversary getaway to a secluded cabin. When Malcolm (Sutherland) unexpectedly returns to the city, Liz (Maslany) finds herself alone — facing an unspeakable evil that reveals the cabin’s horrifying secrets.
The screenplay comes from Nick Lepard (Dangerous Animals).
This marks Perkins’ third collaboration with NEON, following the box office hits Longlegs and The Monkey. His past work includes The Blackcoat’s Daughter, I Am the Pretty Thing That Lives in the House, and the arthouse horror-fantasy Gretel & Hansel.
Perkins has hinted that his cabin-in-the-woods story features an entity tormenting the main characters, which the trailer subtly confirms while keeping the full horror under wraps.
Keeper is rated R for violent content, gore, language, and some sexual references.
Based on the trailer, this romantic escape is set to spiral into terror when Keeper arrives in theaters next month.
