Following the recent arrival of Resident Evil Village for Apple users, the much-anticipated Resident Evil 4 remake is set to make its debut, just in time for the holiday season. On December 20, this celebrated remake will be available for the iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, iPad, and Mac, and it will also feature the “Separate Ways” DLC, all on the same day.

You can already pre-order Resident Evil 4 on the App Store, and its compatibility with Apple devices is made possible through the collaboration between Capcom’s RE ENGINE and Apple’s cutting-edge silicon. This includes the A17 Pro chip for iPhone 15 Pro models and Macs equipped with M-series chips, such as the new MacBook Pro with the M3 family of chips and the high-performance iMac with M3. The game takes full advantage of Apple’s MetalFX upscaling, ensuring stunning high-resolution visuals and exceptional performance, offering incredibly responsive gameplay on iPhone, iPad, and Mac.

Players will have the opportunity to experience a portion of Resident Evil 4 through a free download before committing to the full game with a single purchase. The game supports Universal Purchase, enabling cross-progression between iPhone, iPad, and Mac, allowing players to seamlessly transition between home and on-the-go gaming while maintaining their saved game progress across all devices. The Apple version of Resident Evil 4 also offers compatibility with various controllers, including keyboard and mouse support for Mac, as well as customizable touch controls for portable play on iPhone and iPad.

For those who prefer traditional platforms, Resident Evil 4 (along with the “Separate Ways” DLC) is already available on PC via Steam, as well as on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series. Additionally, a free VR Mode for Resident Evil 4 is on the horizon for PlayStation 5 this winter.
