“Friday the 13th: The Game” Farewell | Maxing Out Players

Last month, Gun Interactive revealed that Friday the 13th: The Game will not be available to purchase after December 31, 2023. The game is now available to buy for $4.99, with all downloadable content being 99 cents each. The online gameplay will stop after December 31, 2024. The publisher revealed the game’s final update, which is set to be released on July 6, 2023. The update will give all players access to thirty legendary perks, all kills to be unlocked, and other perks will also be instilled across all accounts. Gun Media CEO, Wes Keltner, said in a tweet, “The best way we knew how to give you, the players, the best experience and a heartfelt thank you, as we move towards an inevitable goodbye.”

On August 18, 2023, Gun Interactive will be releasing The Texas Chainsaw Massacre game, which will be similar to that of Friday the 13th: The Game.  The Texas Chainsaw Massacre game is now available to pre-order. As for Friday the 13th news, a new game was revealed by long-time musical composer, Harry Manfredini, to be in the works from a whole new production company.
