“The Fall of the House of Usher,” a limited series produced by Intrepid Pictures, draws inspiration from multiple works by Edgar Allan Poe. Netflix has officially announced that this chilling series will premiere on October 12, 2023.

The story unfolds in this wicked 8-episode limited series as we delve into the world of ruthless siblings Roderick and Madeline Usher. Together, they have transformed Fortunato Pharmaceuticals into a formidable empire of wealth, privilege, and influence. However, the Usher dynasty’s dark secrets resurface when its heirs begin to meet their demise at the hands of a mysterious woman from their past.

The ensemble cast boasts notable talents such as Carla Gugino, renowned for her roles in “Gerald’s Game” and “The Haunting of Hill House,” along with Mary McDonnell, Carl Lumbly, and the iconic Mark Hamill. Bruce Greenwood, familiar from “Gerald’s Game,” takes on the role of Roderick Usher.

“The Fall of the House of Usher” marks Mike Flanagan and Trevor Macy’s fifth collaboration with Netflix under their Intrepid Pictures deal. Their previous works include the beloved “The Haunting of” series (“The Haunting of Hill House” and “The Haunting of Bly Manor”), the critically acclaimed “Midnight Mass,” and the recent adaptation of Christopher Pike’s “The Midnight Club.”
