The popular vampire comedy series “What We Do in the Shadows” is meeting its end with the conclusion of its sixth season, as reported by Vulture. The outlet confirms that production for the final season kicks off next month, marking the end of the journey for the effortlessly charming vampire roommates.

The fifth season, which concluded earlier this summer on FX, delved into Nandor’s feelings of detachment as his familiar Guillermo gravitates more toward Laszlo. Nadja, grappling with an unknown supernatural hex, reconnects with a family from her past, and Colin explores a familiar path by diving into politics. Meanwhile, The Guide navigates her place in this tight-knit group as a relative newcomer.

Guillermo’s quest toward vampirism adds a touch of hilarity beyond the usual antics, making for an entertaining narrative thread. The series, inspired by Jemaine Clement and Taika Waititi’s film, follows the nightly escapades of vampire roommates Nandor, Laszlo, Nadja, and Colin Robinson as they adapt to modern life in Staten Island with the assistance of their human familiar, Guillermo.

The season five finale, aired in August, saw the housemates receiving an invitation to a mysterious vampire’s home for a weekend away.

Executive produced by Clement, Waititi, Paul Simms, Sam Johnson, Garrett Basch, and Eli Bush, the show is produced by FX Production.

While fans await the final season, bidding adieu to this motley vampire crew might be bittersweet. However, the assurance of a proper conclusion offers solace. Stay tuned for further updates as we approach the series’ end.
