Excitement is building for the upcoming release of ‘Saw X,’ as Tobin Bell reprises his role in this highly anticipated new installment of the Saw franchise. Lionsgate is set to bring the film to theaters on September 29, 2023, and to whet your appetite, they’ve unveiled a chilling poster that harkens back to classic Saw imagery.

The poster teases one of Jigsaw’s new traps, displaying a man with goggles embedded with light tubes in the eye holes. Just one look at it induces discomfort as we wonder what horrors might be flowing through those tubes. Acid? Thousands of tiny spiders? The possibilities are as horrifying as they are unknown.

The cast for ‘Saw X’ features talented actors, including Renata Vaca (‘Midnight Family’), Paulette Hernandez (‘Crown of Tears’), Joshua Okamoto (‘Control-Z’), Octavio Hinojosa (‘Come Play With Me’), Synnøve Macody Lund (‘Ragnarok’), Steven Brand (‘The Sandman’), and Michael Beach (‘Dahmer’).

According to Lionsgate, the return of Tobin Bell to the franchise promises to deliver everything Saw fans love while keeping them guessing with all-new traps and a fresh mystery to unravel.

Deadline has shared further details about the film, explaining that ‘Saw X’ is the untold chapter of Jigsaw’s final games, set between the events of ‘Saw I’ and ‘Saw II.’ In this installment, a sick and desperate John Kramer (Tobin Bell) ventures to Mexico for a risky and experimental medical procedure, hoping for a miraculous cure for his cancer. However, he soon discovers that the entire operation is a scam targeting the most vulnerable. Unfazed by the deception, the infamous killer returns to his gruesome work, turning the tables on the con artists in his signature visceral and cunning manner, employing devious, deranged, and ingenious traps.

Kevin Greutert, a stalwart of the franchise who previously directed ‘Saw VI’ and ‘Saw: The Final Chapter,’ and also contributed as an editor for ‘Saw I’ through ‘V’ and ‘Jigsaw,’ helms the project, ensuring a film that honors the dark legacy of Saw while offering fresh thrills for fans.

As the release date draws near, anticipation grows for ‘Saw X,’ which promises to be a gripping addition to the Saw universe, with Tobin Bell’s iconic return and a captivating new chapter in Jigsaw’s twisted games.
