‘The Nun II’, the sequel to the 2018 horror film The Nun, will be released in theaters on September 8, 2023. The film is directed by Michael Chaves and stars Taissa Farmiga, Jonas Bloquet, Storm Reid, Katelyn Rose Downey, and Anna Popplewell.
The film’s synopsis is as follows:
1956 – France. A priest is murdered. An evil is spreading.
The sequel to the worldwide smash hit ‘The Nun’ follows sister Irene as she once again comes face to face with the demonic force Valak – the demon nun.
Bonnie Aarons reprises her role as the demon nun Valak. Other returning cast members include Taissa Farmiga as Sister Irene and Jonas Bloquet as Frenchie. Newcomers to the cast include Storm Reid as a nun-in-training, Katelyn Rose Downey as a 10-year-old girl, and Anna Popplewell as a school teacher.
The Nun II is rated R for violent content and some terror.
The film’s trailer gives us a glimpse of the terrifying events that await Sister Irene and her companions. The trailer features plenty of jump scares and creepy imagery, and it is sure to leave viewers feeling unsettled.
