Director Gareth Edwards, known for his work on “Rogue One” and “Godzilla,” made a cinematic return in September with “The Creator,” a sci-fi action thriller. Now, the movie is making its way to Hulu this month.

Starting December 20, “The Creator” will exclusively stream on Hulu. For those eager to dive in sooner, the film is available for VOD rental, starting at just $5.99.

The star-studded cast includes John David Washington from “Tenet,” Gemma Chan of “Eternals,” Ken Watanabe from “Inception,” Sturgill Simpson featured in “Dog,” newcomer Madeleine Yuna Voyles, and Academy Award® winner Allison Janney, recognized for “I, Tonya.”

In “The Creator,” the narrative unfolds amidst a future where humanity is at war with artificial intelligence. Joshua, an ex-special forces agent grappling with the loss of his wife, is enlisted to track down and eliminate the Creator. This elusive figure is the mastermind behind advanced AI and possesses a mysterious weapon capable of ending both the war and humanity itself.

As Joshua and his elite team venture into AI-occupied territory, they uncover a startling truth—the world-ending weapon they seek to destroy is an AI in the form of a young child.

The screenplay for the film is penned by Gareth Edwards and Chris Weitz, based on a story by Edwards. The production is helmed by Gareth Edwards, Kiri Hart, Jim Spencer, and Arnon Milchan.
