This Christmas, get ready for a hellish ride into the chilling world of the ’70s as director Jenn Wexler presents her supernatural horror movie, ‘The Sacrifice Game.’ Shudder has unveiled a striking new poster created by Chris Barnes, teasing the spine-tingling thrills that await.

The highly anticipated ‘The Sacrifice Game’ is set to have its world premiere at the Fantasia International Film Festival on July 28 before heading to Shudder later this year. Fantasia describes the film as a gripping and stylish ’70s-set chiller, blending school girls, power-mad killers, and occult prophecy, immersing audiences in a world of both gore and lore.

The plot revolves around boarding school students Samantha and Clara, who find themselves stranded at the school during the holidays. Their already unfortunate situation takes a deadly turn when a gang of cult killers descends upon them, just in time for Christmas.

The cast features talented actors such as Mena Massoud, Olivia Scott Welch, Olympian Gus Kenworthy, Chloë Levine, Madison Baines, Derek Johns, Laurent Pitre, and Georgia Acken, promising an engaging and intense performance.

Shot in Oka, Quebec, ‘The Sacrifice Game’ is co-written by Jenn Wexler and Sean Redlitz, with Philip Kalin-Hajdu, Albert I. Melamed, Heather Buckley, and Todd Slater taking on production duties. The executive producers include Philip Kalin-Hajdu and Albert I. Melamed, along with Emily Gotto and Samuel Zimmerman from Shudder, Roman Kopelevich, Roman Viaris, and Crystal Hill from Red Sea Media, and Mark Côté, Peter Phok, Mena Massoud, and Olivia Scott Welch.

After its premiere at Fantasia, ‘The Sacrifice Game’ is all set to make its next appearance at FrightFest. Stay tuned for further updates on additional release details as they become available. Brace yourself for an unforgettable holiday horror experience with a supernatural twist that will leave you trembling in fear.
