Ghostface is back—and this time, it’s personal. Paramount Pictures has dropped the first official trailer for Scream 7, arriving in theaters February 27, 2026, just in time to slash through the new year.

Neve Campbell makes her long-awaited return as Sidney Prescott, stepping back into the spotlight for what promises to be one of the franchise’s most emotional and brutal chapters yet. She’s not alone—David Arquette, Courteney Cox, Scott Foley, and Matthew Lillard are all returning, alongside newer survivors Mason Gooding and Jasmin Savoy Brown from the previous two films.

The official synopsis teases a chilling twist:

“When a new Ghostface killer emerges in the quiet town where Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) has built a new life, her darkest fears are realized as her daughter (Isabel May) becomes the next target. Determined to protect her family, Sidney must confront the horrors of her past to end the bloodshed once and for all.”

This Ghostface isn’t playing games—he’s out to burn everything down.

Set two years after Scream VI, the sequel marks a huge moment for the franchise: original Scream writer Kevin Williamson takes the director’s chair for the first time, with Guy Busick (Scream 2022, Scream VI) co-writing the script.

The blood-soaked cast also features Anna Camp, Joel McHale, Mckenna Grace, Michelle Randolph, Jimmy Tatro, Asa Germann, Celeste O’Connor, Sam Rechner, Ethan Embry, Tim Simons, and Mark Consuelos.

Matthew Lillard, who returns to the series after years of fan theories about his character’s survival, recently teased:

“I’m thrilled to be back. The movie’s fantastic, and I’m really excited for people to see it. It’s not gonna ruin the franchise—that’s the good news.”

And yes, if you listen closely to the trailer’s final moments… that voice might sound hauntingly familiar.
