Last week, the reunion of Creed director and star Ryan Coogler and Michael B. Jordan for a “feature film project” was announced, and now Deadline provides an intriguing update.

Surprisingly, the mysterious project has been revealed to be a vampire movie.

In today’s report from Deadline, it is disclosed that major studios such as Sony, Warner Bros, and Universal are in a competitive battle to acquire the untitled film project, estimated to have a budget in the $90 million range.

The script, penned by Ryan Coogler (known for Black Panther), is set in a period genre and is described as a true star vehicle for Michael B. Jordan. Coogler is not only the writer but also the director of the film.

Deadline highlights, “Coogler’s script is a period genre film that is a true star vehicle for Jordan.”

Producing the film alongside Coogler are Zinzi Coogler and Sev Ohanian.

In addition to this project, Michael B. Jordan has previously attached himself to produce “The Dwelling,” a horror movie based on a short story from Amazon Studios, last year.

Stay tuned for further updates on both of these intriguing projects as more information becomes available.
